Why Do Nails Get "Sick"

Nails are composed of several layers of dead cells, which themselves do not get sick. But the substances that contact with the nails (often cosmetic, destined to improve the nails), may irritate the tissue surrounding a nail, which leads to a deterioration of their appearance. Moreover, poor general health, as well as some bad habits such as smoking, can cause discoloration of the nail, splitting nails and many other problems.

How does the overall state of health affect our nails
Many serious diseases can be diagnosed by analyzing the nails. Very pale nail is often a sign of anemia, while the bluish nail shows cardiovascular system illness or the lungs'. In these cases, the body is under
anoxemia. Kidney, thyroid, liver and pituitary bad condition can also lead to a change in color of the nails. In some forms of arthritis, involving inflammation of the joints of the fingers, the nails may split, and the small spots can indicate psoriasis.
In each of these cases, you need to see a specialist and treat the main disease. Often at the beginning of treatment, for example, after you have started taking iron supplements for anemia, the appearance of nails improves.

Fungal infections
Nails affected by fungal infection is quite common. Under certain conditions, fungal spores attach to the cells of the nail tissue, feeding on keratin and penetrating more deeply. Struck by a fungus- the nail thickens, changes color and texture. This infection can develop initially at one side of the nail, for example at the tip or the base, and then capture the entire area of the nail. Over time, a fungal infection can move to other nails, and can infect another person. If you do not take appropriate measures, to the end the nail fungus will cause flaking of the nail bed, and you will lose the nail.

NAILS FLOWER ACRYLIC

You have to click directly on this picture to get a better view of these nails acrylic.

The base acrylic that I used on these nails acrylic is called black and white ball from sparklesnailproducts.com.

These are my sister in laws nails acrylic. She is 9 mos. pregnant. She isn't finding out if it's a boy or a girl until the baby is born. So that is the story behind the one pink flower and one blue flower nail. Once she has the baby we can just change one of the nails acrylic! haha

These nails acrylic were a complete accident. We were going for something completely different and they just ended up like this. This is a perfect example of what happens when you have a crazy nail tech and a crazy client in the same room!

This is opi gel polish in black onyx. I painted a little "corset" pattern on the nails acrylic. It's kind of hard to see in the picture but it turned out very cute!

This is white acrylic with cotton candy art glitter faded at the top. I added 3d flowers on the ring fingers. Very summery :)

This is acrylic. I painted the black and white lines with a striping brush.

This is a 3d skull on the ring fingers that I made with acrylic.

This is a color fade with acrylic and then I handpainted a cheetah print. meeeow!

FUNNY LOVE ACRYLIC

Super cute toes and the picture actually turned out pretty good! Finally, it is soooo hard for me to take a good picture of toes. This is a glitter fade with glitter from Young nails acrylic in shock, pinkie, and sunshine. I painted tiger stripes on the top. Love these toes!

These are all colors from young nails acrylic that I marbled together and then I faded young nails acrylic hologram up into them.

This is gel polish. Happy Birthday Hannah!

TOES MIX ACRYLIC NAILS

Click directly on this picture to get a better view. There are hollow dots so you can actually see through the nails acrylic. All of these colors are from the Young nails acrylic neon collection. I painted the white circles with a nail art pen.

This is glitter that I purchased from dollar nail art. I mixed the glitter with clear acrylic to make it super easy to apply. The purple background color is lava lamp art glitter. The ring fingers have 3d stars and the green acrylic is art glitter in fishnet.

On these nails acrylic I painted an abstract design on the black. Scroll to the bottom of this post to view the matching toes I did with these.

I have done a lot of flags this July. They are each a little different. I call this one my Dr. Seuss flag it curls in at the end a little. Just always having to get a little artsy and creative whenever I can.

On these nails acrylic we were trying to achieve the color apricot. I wish you could see the color in person because it is beauuutifullll. I faded two colors together.

This is opi gel polish in black onyx with a base coat of happy anniversary.

I have done soooo many cute toes lately, I'm frustrated because it is so hard for me to get a good picture of toes. I just can't get the right angle or lighting and the coloring turns out all wrong in the picture. I would appreciate any photography advice. I did think these pics turned out ok but the toes were much cuter in person. Grrrrrr

STAR SPANGLED ACRYLIC NAILS

This is a custom mix of all different glitters that I had. I also put a glitter on the nail beds. As you can tell I am having a lot of fun doing flags on nails acrylic. It's just too cute not to. I can't help myself!

I made this flag using acrylic and painting the white stripes on. The stars I purchased from dollar nail art and mixed them with clear acrylic.

You can't go wrong with fimo clay dots. They are from oaktreedollshouseminiatures.com
I always love to mix it up by doing the ring finger just a little different. It's unexpected fun!

This is a marbling technique that I learned at a young nails acrylic class. This is acrylic. All of the colors are from young nails acrylic. I painted the silver stars and red dots with polish.

This is my favorite black called nebula. I added 3d flowers with acrylic in opposite colors.

This is just me having fun with some super cute colors purple and black!
