Finger Paints Peace, Love & Color Summer Collection 2011...Swatches and Review

Good Morning Everyone *-*

I know it's been awhile since I posted a nail of the day.  You know how it is life can get in the way.  I am happy to show you the Finger Paints Summer Collection.   These are great to wear throughout these hot summer months.

                             Give Pink A Chance
I would call this a Watermelon Pink.  It's gorgeous...Can you believe it's opaque with one coat! I did use 2 coats.

Groovy Green
Green Apple Green Frost.  There is some brush strokes to this one.  2 coats were used.

All You Need Is Color
Teal and Green glitter in a clear base.  I used 3 coats to cover visible nail line. When dry it's a bit dull so I used a topcoat to bring in some shine.

Psychedelic Sunshine
Egg Yoke Yellow in a jelly base. Packed full of multi colored shimmer yellow, green, blue, and orange.  The formula on this one was thick but applied smoothly.  I used 2 coats but should have used 3 to cover visible nail line.

Outta Sight Orange
Orange with pink and yellow shimmer.  The pink doesn't show up on this picture but it's there. Very easy to apply nice formula.

Peaceful Purple
Purple, Red, and Silver Glitter in a clear base.  This one is totally awesome.  I added topcoat to give it more shine.

I love this collection.  A nice variety for the summer.  My least favorite one is Groovy Green and you know green is one of my favorites.  It's my least favorite because it's frosty and leaves brush strokes, but I do love the color.  My favorites  are Give Pink A Chance.  It's like a coral pink and it's a one coater.  Also love All You Need Is Color and Peaceful Purple both are very nice glitters.

These can be purchased at your local Sally's Beauty Supply Store.

Do you have these already? Which ones are your favorite?

These were sent to me for review

Sunny Side Up

Good Morning,

Orange is such a bright lively color...my mani looks like a tall glass of Orange Juice.  Yummy!  It's my favorite color to wear for the summer months.  Wet N Wild 'Wild Shine' Sunny Side Up did not disappoint me.   It's creamy on the thin side but 3 coats gave me the opacity that I wanted.

Not bad for 99 cents, I picked up a couple of Wild Shines when Walgreens marked them down to 50 cents.  I could not pass up a great deal :P  Woot!

I decided to give  OPI Silver Shatter a try. Using one coat then a topcoat.  I love how the orange is peaking through.  These 2 colors go very well together.

As an accent I used Bundle Monster Plate BM-207 with Konad Special White Polish (I am really lovely these plates ya'll)

There you have it.  I hope you like it :D

I'm still on the lookout for the Mermaid's Cove Collection.

Team Alex

As you know already I have lots and lots and lots of nail polish.  I don't care what brand I buy from low-end to high-end.  I need to stop but I'm such an addict.  I have so much that my storage plastic bins are crying telling me please no more I can't handle it anymore. Lol! :P

I also have 2 Melmers that are 3 drawers each.  I stacked them to look like a Helmer and they are full.  Melmer is not the correct name for them, it's the name the nailboard call them since it's not a Helmer from Ikea.  Melmers are from Michael's Craft Store. (I really don't know the correct name for them. )  I was thinking about buying more Melmers, but don't want to buy 10 of them. Lol!  Most of the ladies on  Makeupally/nailboard have Helmers.  For some reason they just don't appeal to me maybe because it's metal and looks like an old file cabinet.

Edit:  Here is blogger AllThingsNails picture of the Melmer located on the right side:  The correct name is Jetmax...click here

A  nailboarder VVV showed her pictures of the Alex from Ikea. (Thanks VVV)  She showed side by side pictures of the Helmer and the Alex.( Her post is here.)   I was sold on the Alex because it's tall and holds way more polish then the Melmer and Helmer .  I told my daughter-in-law about the Alex and she had my son go and get her one.  She called me over to her house and when I stepped in the room I screamed, literally! Lol!  So, I must get one, or two maybe three :D  It's really sturdy just like a nice piece of furniture.  I don't think it's real wood but it's solid.

Yesterday, nailboarder KonadTheBarbarian was making buttons for Team Helmer, so I asked for Team Alex! Lol! Here is my button. It's now at the bottom of my right side bar. Thanks Ktb :D

How do you store your nail polish stash, Plastic Shoe boxes, Plastic Sterlites, Melmers, Helmers or the Alex?  Please share.
